It is named after its sponsor, TD Bank, N.A. and is often simply referred to by local Bostonians as, The Garden, The Fleet Center, or the traditional Boston Garden.[citation needed] It was formerly known as the FleetCenter and the Shawmut Center (title sponsor Shawmut Bank was bought by FleetBoston Financial before the arena opened). TD Bank, N.A. has been in control of the arena's naming rights since 2005, with the arena called TD Banknorth Garden until July 16, 2009, when the TD Banknorth name ceased to exist. TD Garden is the home arena for the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association. It is the site of the annual Beanpot college hockey tournament, and hosts the annual Hockey East Championships. The arena has also hosted many major national sporting events including the 1999, 2003, and 2009 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball regional first and second rounds, the 2009 and 2012 Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight, the 1998 Frozen Four,the 2004 Frozen Four, and the 2006 Women's Final Four. Fool around with a younger, hotter airline commercial in Dallas. I guess some context is needed here. Granted, Dallas DFW is/remains Amercian Airlines (AA) turf. When the new kid in the town comes, flying non stop San Francisco (SFO) to Dallas, it sure wants to create the buzz. Virgin America provides a very nice, yet fancy cabin product. AA can't compet on that, so Virgin tries to take advantage of the huge (and it's an understatement) gap. Knowing both products, I for sure will keep an eye on that ... City: Dallas

During a flightseeing tour over Glacier Bay NP we had a dramatic view at the 12-mile-long John Hopkins Glacier. The glaciers seen here today are remnants of a general ice advance- the Little Ice Age- that began about 4,000 years ago. In 1890, geologist Harry Fielding Reid discovered the glacier and proudly named it toe John Hopkins, a philanthropist and founder of the eponymous university and hospital. He also named the smaller glacier on the left to Daniel Coit Gilman, the first president of the university.
